For 24 hours on September 9, Shopee reached a five-fold increase in orders during its 9.9 Mobile Shopping Day, the biggest mobile shopping festival in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. Across the region, 25,000 sellers participated in this event and overall traffic increased by three times, compared to any previous day. Top sellers enjoyed an increase in orders up to over 200 times and one buyer purchased the highest number of items for the day, ordering a total of 151 items. Shopee also garnered more than four million live chats regionally and 8.5 million total reach on the main social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
KC Neoh, owner of ishopee88 store on Shopee, experienced a 1006% surge in orders on this day.
